In this short demo, we’ll show you how to model your actuals using Abacum’s multi-dimensional capabilities.
You’ll learn how to combine datasets from different sources, structure your actuals using meaningful business dimensions like Entity, Department, and Vendor, and gain clarity by slicing and dicing your data instantly — no manual cleanups or complex formulas required.
Key Benefits
Multi-source actuals modeling: Combine datasets like GL US and GL Spain with no effort.
Granular visibility: Break down your data by the dimensions that matter most to your business — instantly.
Flexible views: Drag and drop dimensions to visualize data in any order or granularity level.
No manual effort: Say goodbye to spreadsheet gymnastics and tedious reconciliations.
Step by Step
1. Start with your datasets
In the demo, we combine data from two sources: GL US and GL Spain. The S&M Expenses variable is modeled by summing balances from both.
2. Apply business dimensions
By activating dimensions like Entity, Department, and Vendor, we can immediately drill down to see how OpEx is allocated.
3. Visualize your data
Abacum automatically organizes your data by dimension — clean, structured, and analysis-ready.
4. Customize the view
Want to see the data by a different granularity or change the order of dimensions? Just drag and drop. No rebuilds required.
